Miniature Food Sculptures by Stephanie Kilgast from Vannes, France.

Miniature Food Sculptures by Stephanie Kilgast from Vannes, France.
Inspired by natural forms, Stéphanie Kilgast grows colorful organic sculptures on abstract backgrounds, celebrating the beauty of nature and implying the impending doom caused by human activities.

She built her reputation around hyperrealistic miniature food sculptures and learned how to handle what would become her favorite medium, polymer clay.

With a focus on natural forms and often ethics, she worked on the « daily veggie challenge » in 2015, where she sculpted a different vegetable every day to present the vast quantity of edible plants, while encouraging to reduce our meat and animal products intake for environmental reasons. At the same time, to brighten her own mood, she keeps getting back to insects and surrealism in the “happy bugs” series.

Micro Sculptures from Graphite by Salavat Fidai from Russia.

Micro Sculptures from Graphite by Salavat Fidai from Russia.
About Artist - Salavat Fidai was born and raised in a small village at the foot of the Ural Mountains in Russia. He grew up in a family of teachers who taught art at school. He was surrounded by a creative atmosphere and since his early childhood Salavat was interested in the Visual Arts. However, he never followed in the footsteps of his parents. At that time, he did not believe it was possible to make a living as an Artist. So he decided to become a Lawyer.

He graduated a Law Faculty and worked for more than 20 years in trading companies. He was successful in his career and received a senior role in a prestigious company. Although his life was very comfortable, he didn’t truly feel content with his Career.

He came to a turning point, when he began to reflect on the meaning of life and his purpose. He bravely left his job and spent a year searching for answers to the questions; Who am I? What is my destiny? He changed his lifestyle; no more Television, included some spiritual practices, a lot of reading and traveling with his family. Finally, he found his answers and decided to devote himself to art. He wanted to go back to a time, when as a child, he was painting every day! That is what made him truly happy, then and now.

Salavat decided to become an Artist in every sense of the word. He was beginning to see life in a different light, his world sparkled with new colours. He gained life’s true meaning, to see the beauty in everything and to do what one loves. It was a very difficult and risky decision to refuse a highly paid job, and to deprive his family of stable income. He was nervous about embarking on this journey without any guarantee of success.

With the support of family and friends, he began to believe in himself and gained international recognition.

About Carved Pencils - At school, I really liked carving sculptures out of wood and chalk. I liked to carve animals and portraits of ancient heroes. In early 2015, I returned to the forgotten passion and discovered a new material: pencil graphite rods.

This is a unique and very interesting form of art. Graphite is an extremely brittle material, and sculptures often break down in the process. But it does not upset me, on the contrary, I find it exciting and suspenseful. Every new sculpture is a challenge and there is no absolute guarantee that I will succeed. The more complicated the shape, the more interesting I find it.

The process of carving sculptures for me is like meditation. While working I listen to instrumental music, it helps me to concentrate and clears some space in my mind for inspiration. I have to work at night, when the whole family is asleep, so there are no interruptions.

I find ideas and themes for my sculptures in my surroundings; Movies and Cartoons, Animals, Pop Culture, Comic Books, Works of Art, Household Items and Architecture. Occasionally I get ideas from my fans and subscribers on Instagram.

Colorful Monday
From the Brush of Artist - When I paint the "outside world" disappears ... And feel a force I think any artist can feel when they're merged in what they do. I never know how my paintings will look like... When I consider my paintings I marvel of these forms, textures and colors.

Aesthetically I like the colors I use... I love them shabby, a little dirty... The perfect do not appeal to me much... The Swedish melancholy is naturally as a contestation veil over all my paintings...all based and deeply rooted in my soul, my feelings....My brush strokes also following the Scandinavian seasons..the variety that I love and depend on.....
I love structures I think they are like a wall of stories ..

My paintings comprises up to fifty different layers ..I don't give up before I scrapes and scratched up just the feeling I'm in right then ..it's why I must have the most thickest most durable fabric available ..I am very ..very tough when I paint out my forms and figures...

Booth my characters and figures are usually a little diffuse and they have never had any eyes ..I think I want to get a feeling more than concrete vision.. now  it's difficult to know if  they are men or women they are abstract androgynous ..I think everything is all about finding a sense and you should ask yourself - what is happening ...what are they saying to each other.

Because I love the structure and the written word, I always ground  my paintings with various magazines and books that are close to me right then,..sometimes I  scrapes  and remove everything up to the finished painting, but mostly I want to discerns certain words or parts of books ... then awakened a curiosity, and I will also see the structure I want to achieve.
I always knew that I would be an artist ... when the adults asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up I replied -An artist of course  !!..and  that's the way
.
I always have painted but it is now the last few years that I can live on my art ..it have not been the easiest route..but for me.. painting is as important as eat  and sleep ..

I think I have  no choice and it's a fantastic choice ... I´m so blessed and deeply grateful that people want my paintings.

Environment.
From the Brush of Artist - I now see illustration and designing my own worlds as a kind of meditation. I get tunnel vision, shut everything else out and stick on some good music with a brew for good measure. It's an exciting process whereby I can start off with a blank page and suddenly, an hour later, there's a small world in front of me...A piece of my own mind on the page. Because of this It's satisfying to think that everyday I do this I get a little bit better, a little more adept at this craft and maybe inspire others to do the same and start their own artistic journey.

I was never that person in school who was good at art ( or received comments such as 'You're such a good drawer' as they drooled over some other kid's work), it was all just...Practice...But also I had a mindset that I didn't want to die knowing that I could have tried to pull this thing off, regardless of what time I had to do it. If you really want to do something, you'll make the time for it :-D .

Poetic Reflections by Olivia Ahlberg from Ystad, Sweden.

Poetic Reflections by Olivia Ahlberg from Ystad, Sweden.
From the Brush of Artist - My name is Olivia Ahlberg. I was born on Gotland, an island in the middle of the Baltic sea, something I realize now has affected my whole life - I'm totally addicted to the Baltic sea. It's my life line. Now I'm based in Ystad, a small town in the very south of Sweden, by the Baltic.

After a long break I returned to photography some years ago. It's simply my passion, something I can't be without.

My pictures on Instagram, taken with my mobile, are like a journal. I photograph what I see and find interesting around me in my every day life. Outside Instagram I only work with analog cameras. It's hard to beat the magic of the darkroom! I love to work and experiment with different techniques. My images are more in the art photo genre, often inspired by philosophy and poetry.

Imaginary Realities by Tasscha Lico a Polish - Canadian.

Imaginary Realities by Tasscha Lico a Polish - Canadian.
From the Brush of Artist - I was born and raised in communistic country where obstacles were many ,but opportunities few.I never fit in and feeling different gave me a unique perspective . It is through art that I found a sense of freedom .It is where I can express my feelings and thoughts in a creative way and share them with audience .
It is people , their physical being ,and individual aesthetic that fascinates me everyone struggles with being perfect , seeking a way to be like everyone else ,accepted .But true perfection comes from all the ways we are imperfect ,different .It is person's flaws that makes them interesting . I paint what I see from their inner being as it is expressed in their appearance .
Photography allows me to unleash my creativity .In surrealistic style ,I can find endless possibilities to create imaginary realities .I'm telling stories through use of color ,texture, symbolism to evoke emotion in the viewer.

Beautiful Portraits in Paintings by Matt Talbert from Los Angeles.

Beautiful Portraits in Paintings by Matt Talbert from Los Angeles.
From the Brush of Artist - "You’ve heard it many times before, “don’t be precious with your painting,” but I’m going to take it a step further.  Be cruel to your painting, abuse your painting, make it so unprecious that it is no longer a painting, but a series of emotional marks.  In every successful painting I have done this year there is an act of destruction that must take place before it can be built back up into something much greater.  Scrape it out, throw around large piles of paint, let it dry and sand it down.  I’ll admit that this is not something I could have done years ago, but if you are confident in your ability, deconstruction will be a liberating way to expand your painting horizons."

Beautiful Black and White Venice by Michael Hogg

Beautiful Black and White Venice by Michael Hogg
From the Brush of Artist - My name is Revd Michael Hogg. I am a pastor of a Baptist Church in Northamptonshire, in the UK. I enjoy photography as a hobby, and particularly like the medium of Black and White. I like scenes of people out and about doing their daily stuff, and like capturing the spontaneous. I also like architecture, contrasts and patterns. I like street scenes (urban) and also scenes of God's creation (rural). At the moment, I am featuring my photos bit by bit on a facebook site (Hogg Photography), linked to my Instagram account (hogg777). They mainly feature some of the picturesque places I have recently visited.

From the Brush of Artist - My name is Matteo Stucchi and i am a pastry chef for catering company. I live near to Monza. I am 23 years old. I get the idea by seeing other artists on the web who create an interplay between objects and food; and by that, I focused myself on my dessert, in order to make them in a different and innovative way, using all my fantasy trying to surprise my followers.

Henrik Emtkjær Hansen a Photographer from Ribe, Denmark.

Henrik Hansen a Photographer from Ribe, Denmark.
From the Brush of Artist - I'm from Ribe, Denmark, which is a an old town, actually the oldest in Denmark. Lots of historical sites here. I'm very interested in the landscape around the city though. The Wadden Sea is basically a few kilometers away from my house and I often go there to explore an unwind. It's a very contrasty landscape with either strong wind and harsh weather, or calm, almost thick fog rolling in from the sea, covering the rural flat area in some sort of mysterious blanket, and just leaving it there for a while. When photographing in the fog or mist, it's like there's something more to understand, something unseen, and I want my photography to show that.

Photographer Beata Zych from Lublin, Poland.

Photographer Beata Zych from Lublin, Poland.
From the Brush of Artist - My name is Beata Zych, I currently live in Lublin, eastern Poland but I was brought up in a small village and I think my upbringing in the countryside is what influences me the most.

My two most darling subjects are people and nature. I'm not much of a street photographer (from time to time only) but I like taking portraits and I love capturing nature. When I moved out of my village to Lublin to start studying philosophy I was glad that I had a chance to change my environment but after a couple of years and some life changes I truly appreciated the nature for the first time. In nature I always find peace and beauty.

I have my favourite subjects but I capture everything I find fascinating as I don’t want to limit myself to any particular theme or style. At the beginning I only used colour but when I tried black and white I was surprised by how much I felt good with it.

I had never been interested in photography before I set up my Instagram account and it was quite a coincidence that I started taking photos. However, it quickly became a major part of my life and I met many wonderful people throughout my photographic journey. Now I am a proud member of Mobile Photo Trip project, which is both an initiative promoting mobile photography and a series of meetings of mobile photographers.

I am an avid reader and I love live music gigs and baking.

From the Brush of Artist - "My name is Suzanne Forrest. I am a photographer and mixed media artist living in Glasgow, Scotland.

I like to approach my work using alternative techniques and processes to allow me to create pieces that are visually or conceptually impactful. For my latest series "Perspective" I applied traditional architectural practices to natural subject matter, allowing the viewer to consider the form, shape and geometry within the natural world".

Painter Jess Nelson from Nashville.

Painter Jess Nelson from Nashville.
From the Brush of Artist - "I fell in love with painting in college, I was an art major but hated painting, my first painting professor helped me love the medium. After college I took a few years off from painting and just recently rekindled my love for it. I have always been drawn to more organic fluid work, and have always loved seeing how colors intermingle. I stumbled upon the ability to do the art I've always wanted to do by playing around with house paint one day".

I SAID GO an Inspiration by Aaron "Tango" Tang from around the Globe.

I SAID GO by Aaron "Tango" Tang from around the Globe.
Norway: Preikestolen. . . .O lala... Fresh air, open skies, no one in sight.... About to turn around after a 90 minute hike past the pulpit rock. I wish I could stay up here for the sunset but we must go drive to Oslo for 8 hours... we did consider staying another night but one of us has a flight around noon....(long story short, our drive took 11 hours, he realized his flight was actually at 10 am, so he had to rebook anyways, and we could of stayed another night.... oh well)..if you come, stay 2 nights to enjoy the place and maybe even 3 days as the weather is usually foggy.
STORY: I had my dream job and got promoted to run the Brand Experience Team for several global brands the entrepreneur owned. It was a great opportunity, but how much will I learn?  Is it my passion? Is it my next step?

DECISION: I decided to  resign to do what scares me, to start my own company, side projects I’ve delayed forever, some for fun and some the world needs. I’m doing what my future-self will thank me for.  I’m going to build my own dream instead of someone else’s.

I SAID GO: Before going into StartUp Land, I’ve dreamed to Travel the World. This is not a vacation, but a project to rediscover, experience, do, and learn. To go where I might not visit in the future. To Experience behind the scenes, the making of, the thought process, the real magic in everyday life.

This is the start of “I SAID GO” which I’ll write about as I embark on my global safari, encouraging others to say GO!

WHY: I’ve  dreamed to explore our mysterious world like Anthony Bourdain since I’m an uber foodie and traveling wanderlust.  I’ve worked my butt off and the years kept vanishing.  No more waiting, I Said Go!

During this time, I’ll be seeking culture, process, philosophies, beliefs, etc… This will be a foundation to challenge my own beliefs posted above, and create a better principle for my future and those around me. Ideas on life, business, and the random.

INSPIRATIONS: – Seth Godin Quote: “Instead of wondering when your next vacation is, maybe you should set up a life you don’t need to escape from.”

"The jumps represent taking a jump in life, not following the status quo, and being your goofy self even if people look at you oddly. You have to take a jump in life to succeed".

Photography Subway Series from Brussels by Gregory Autiquet
From the brush of artist - "I am Gregory Autiquet, a French guy who spent a long time in Brussels. Mostly interested by the street photo, I find my inspiration in the everyday life, the people passing by, the life in the city. I often obsess with determined spots that i visit again and again (like the metro, the manneken-pis and concerts) but my work is mostly concentrated on the human element".

Fine Art Photographer Kaz Canning from New York

Fine Art Photographer Kaz Canning from New York
From the brush of artist - "Photography is like my meditation. Getting out in nature by myself is one of the few times I have the opportunity to get away from a life of news, people, emails, texts, and music. It's simply me and my camera keeping each other company at my spots. Even on a crowded street in New York, photography gives me complete focus through my viewfinder and helps drown out everything I don't want to see.

My journey from getting my first camera, to where I am now has been the greatest experience of my life. My camera has given me the ability to see things in a different way than I had before. I now see the camera as a tool to deliver what I see to any audience. Being able to show images of simple things like rocks, plants, and trees, and showing people the beauty in overlooked items is truly one of my favorite things to do."

Funny Drawings of a Mouse by Loic Apreda from Switzerland.

Funny Drawings of a Mouse by Loic Apreda from Switzerland.
From the brush of artist - So my name is Loïc Apreda, I'm 27 and I am from Switzerland. I started posting on Instagram and Facebook some drawings of a mouse playing with real little objects a bit less than 2 years ago. I was having a lot of fun and I really liked the way it looked on picture so I kept doing it and created new characters along the way! I named the mouse Rikiki, the girafe Kimali and the snail George just to name a few.

I was a psychology student back then and now with those drawings my life took a turn and I started developing fun products like magnets, bookmarks, tote bags and pillows with my characters that I sell on my website. . :) I also got contacted by different companies here and there for collaborations and now I'm in the process of being  officially registered as an illustrator freelancer! Life is full of fun surprises! ^^

CAKE SLICE | 3x3mm | Watercolor (Size comparison: Paper clip)

Hero Angeles is a visual artist from Pasig City. He studied Fine Arts (Visual Communication) at the University of the Philippines Diliman.

He defines ART as an expression of emotions, a creative outlet of the mind, a messenger of
thoughts and an interpretation of reality.

Angeles continues to explore his artistry. From
sketching, to painting, to graphic designing to film making. He made his artworks evolve and distinct. Different forms, one thinking.

His has three art signatures --- Inkterlace (pen art), Kopinta (coffee painting) and MagnifEyed (miniature painting) that he shares to his followers online and in his past exhibits. INKTERLACE, a series where he doodle his subjects by interlacing ink strokes to form intricate figures. He also made a series called KOPINTA where he used coffee to paint portraits. And MAGNIFEYED, where he paints miniature artworks the size of a sugar granule, whole black pepper, rice grain and mung bean.

He has his own online art gallery which he called ARTCETERO (Art + Etcetera + Hero), a venue of expression of thoughts and ideas, a place for inspiring and sharing.

Angeles was recognized by the National Consumers Affairs Foundation (NCAF) as "2015 Dangal ng Bayan Outstanding Visual Artist Advocate" and Bahay Kubo ng Sining Foundation, Inc. (Bakusi Foundation) as "2016 Natatanging Pintor na Tagataguyod ng Sining-Biswal".

He also adds art quotes to some of his works and one of those is this --- “Hands are not made to hurt. They are made to love and make ART.” -Hero Gervacio Angeles

Photographic letters by Agnieszka Grzeslo.

Photographic letters by Agnieszka Grzeslo.
From the Brush of Artist - My name is Agnieszka Grzeslo. I am the part of photographic collective: The way of Phoetry. Why Phoetry? It's just a connection between pictures and words.

I like to take pictures of women. I am still looking for meaning of womanity in every woman I’ve ever met. My pictures are just like letters about woman’s soul, heart and body. I’ve always read a lot. I was mesmerized by how the reality can be captured in sentences – the shorter and simpler, the better. I was also writing a bit – each time to someone, because then the words were floating nicer.
The images came later – those already existing and those which I’ve created. And they overtook me in such a strong way, that at this moment I can’t decide what I enjoy more – seizing the moments in words, or in pictures…
So, I write my photographic letters.

Artospective of French Photographer Christophe Aubry.

Artospective of French Photographer Christophe Aubry.
From the Brush of artist - I'm a french freelance photographer since 2005, in charge of advertising and publicity.
I also carry out an artistic work
I try to build each picture as a painting in which the composition occupies a primordial place.
Lines and curves, but also shades of gray serve me to create unreal atmospheres, inspired more often by my dreams.
The black and white participates in the somewhat strange character of my images, I find that it emphasizes the purity of lines and contrasts. Passionate about architecture, I try to bring my own view of the city and urbanity. I am a real photo-addict, constantly imagining the next image, to look for places, lights.

From the pen of Artist - My name is Markus Sturfelt. I am a 46 year old hobby photographer from Lund, Sweden where I live with wife and three kids. I work as a project manager at an IT company but photography is a great passion outside of work.

My photography took of when I joined Instagram five years ago. In the beginning I was used my iPhone but these days I mostly shoot with a Fujifilm X100T.

I mostly like to shoot moody urban street photo with interesting light conditions or landscapes with a slightly mysterious, desolate feel. Almost all my shots usually are in black and white unless there is a reason to use colour in that specific case.

Instagram is still the major outlet for my pictures but I also post at eyeem.com and 500px.com (both as sturfelt)

Beautiful Paintings Artwork from Pietra Piet.
From the brush of Pietra Piet - I want to tell you a secret....I sometimes feel a bit silly that I really enjoy painting.
But I adore the naive colorful things I make.

Time and space completely disappears when I handle my brushes and sprays.

So I took a big jump about 20 years ago. I started doing it professionally.

I think that is the best decision I made in my life; doing what I really love to do.
