Where am I from?
My name is Nneji Anthonia chinasa, I'm the only child of my widowed mum. I'm from Imo state, Nigeria. I am a painter, photographer, art blogger and graffiti artist.
How did I get into this?
Art has always been part of my bloodline, my paternal forebears were traditional carvers, they carved totems, figurines used for traditional worship. I always knew how to draw while growing up so i decided to study art in the university. While i was on my 6months industrial training, i met a Master, Wallace Ejoh, an impressionist painter who took me in, and taught me so many things starting from the basics. Afterwards he took me in as his protégé.
What is your driving force?
My driving force?...I've been fortunate and blessed to have my close friends and family support my art especially my mum, even when some people try to make her confused with issues like " artists don't earn much"...
What kind of work do I do and why?
I am an impressionist, i love freedom and boldness. I hate being restricted, i hate fear, i love making statements with bold strokes.
My paintings are meant to throw light on how the youths in the society can make themselves better before coming out to change the world. Charity begins at home, if we as youths are not sure of who we are or what our purpose in life is, then, the problems we face in the society will not end.
