Who and from where are you?
My name is Nika Larkina , born in Crimea , now living in Kiev ,Ukraine. I`m a student who wants to be children books illustrator .In childhood as many kids I liked to draw , but then in school i did it very rarely.I`ve started draw digitally 2 years ago and draw cartoony illustrations a half a year ago.
How did you get into this?
At the beggining it was just a small hobby. In the ninth grade, I started making small sketches with a pencil . I'm studying in economic university so it was just a hobby . Two years ago I got graphic tablet and realized that I don`t wont to be an economist or someone else anymore Now I draw 8 sketches with pencil and ink , 1 digital illustration every day , when I have a little more time i draw watercolor portraits and illustration on the plywood with tempera.
What drives you?
What is my driving force ? I don`n know , I just like to draw , to create something , watch how my arts make some people smile or feel something .
What kind of work do you do and why?
I draw kids illustrations because I like cartoons and books a lot and want to be the part of this magic world . I want to create my own book for kids , or comic book . Now I`m freelancer and ready to provide your ideas into reality .
