From the Brush of Artist - My name is Denis Oktyabr, I am from Barnaul city, Siberia. Here we have winters for half a year but despite this I really love it.

I was born and brought up in an environment of Art and artists, from the childhood only I was always surrounded by the canvases, paints, books about artists and so on.

My parents both graduated from Art College and my father became a famous artist, and my mother was an art critic. At the age of thirteen I entered an art school, and two years later I joined an art college where I studied for five years.

Now I am a member of the Union of Artists of Russia and held twenty-three solo exhibitions.

My direction in creativity can be called neo-romanticism and neo-impressionism. I am very inspired by nature, in all its manifestations. But I paint not only landscapes, but I appeal to a variety of subjects: carnival, jazz, the old city, flowers...
