From the Brush of Artist - My name is Beata Zych, I currently live in Lublin, eastern Poland but I was brought up in a small village and I think my upbringing in the countryside is what influences me the most.

My two most darling subjects are people and nature. I'm not much of a street photographer (from time to time only) but I like taking portraits and I love capturing nature. When I moved out of my village to Lublin to start studying philosophy I was glad that I had a chance to change my environment but after a couple of years and some life changes I truly appreciated the nature for the first time. In nature I always find peace and beauty.

I have my favourite subjects but I capture everything I find fascinating as I don’t want to limit myself to any particular theme or style. At the beginning I only used colour but when I tried black and white I was surprised by how much I felt good with it.

I had never been interested in photography before I set up my Instagram account and it was quite a coincidence that I started taking photos. However, it quickly became a major part of my life and I met many wonderful people throughout my photographic journey. Now I am a proud member of Mobile Photo Trip project, which is both an initiative promoting mobile photography and a series of meetings of mobile photographers.

I am an avid reader and I love live music gigs and baking.
