Environment.
From the Brush of Artist - I now see illustration and designing my own worlds as a kind of meditation. I get tunnel vision, shut everything else out and stick on some good music with a brew for good measure. It's an exciting process whereby I can start off with a blank page and suddenly, an hour later, there's a small world in front of me...A piece of my own mind on the page. Because of this It's satisfying to think that everyday I do this I get a little bit better, a little more adept at this craft and maybe inspire others to do the same and start their own artistic journey.

I was never that person in school who was good at art ( or received comments such as 'You're such a good drawer' as they drooled over some other kid's work), it was all just...Practice...But also I had a mindset that I didn't want to die knowing that I could have tried to pull this thing off, regardless of what time I had to do it. If you really want to do something, you'll make the time for it :-D .

"Camping in the clouds"
Holiday destination? I think so. I always thought going in a caravan was also camping but apparently it's 'caravaning'. Learn something new everyday. Quite like the idea of not illustrating the entire cloud, gives a bit of something to the piece.

"House goals"
Just a place I would like to visit. Tried to use a new technique with thicker black lines where objects connect I.e. from one rock to another. This seems to create a bit more weight.

"Life is waiting"
Testing something completely new. A bit of perspective and influenced by old Noir illustrations. Also just a means of finding another way to create a story behind the illustration. Staring out the window at what could be better than your current situation.

Adventure book
Something incredible about a book that just draws you into the pages. Still playing about with different line weights. Now just need a brew.

'A very Special delivery'.
Just working with perspective and vanishing points. Can really get some strange ideas working with basic shapes. Airships are pretty cool too, I might use them a bit more. Also tried to actually do something with line weights this time.w

Initial sketch for an idea I had in mind. The idea kept going around in my head that there could always be something larger than ourselves going on in the background. But this concept is open to interpretation 'If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change' - Will Terrell.

Stipling is actually so rewarding. Trying out different silhouettes and mixing in some shapes for good measure... 'That's which does not kill us makes us stronger'- Friedrich Nietzsche.

Sunday morning. Inspiration happened to come from a tea bag just kind of hanging over the side of the mug. Completely random but once the idea was there, I had to get it down on paper. Have a great day!

"A camera is a save button for the mind's eye" -Rogu Kingston
The instant camera was first introduced by Edwin Land in 1948. This was known as the 'model 95 Land Camera' and came a year after instant film in NYC.

Life in a bottle.
Listening to the same audio book as before which was going on about not starting something because of fear of failure hence you don't even start a project, passion in the first place. But the key to this is that initial action leads to inspiration leading to motivation. Whereas you'd think motivation had to be there from the get go to actually do something. Looking at it from this angle means the idea of failure just goes out of the window...So, in the words of Shia LaBeouf: ' Just Do It'

Living is solitude.
Just a rickety old house somewhere away from the BS of everyday life. Have a great day! Doing this whilst listening to the audio book 'The subtle art of not giving a f*ck'- fantastic book by Mark Manson

Something very different to the usual mountains, rivers, landscapes. Style inspired by #brokenisntbad 'Drowning in ink'

Small tools, big possibilities... So this will mark the beginning of a new sequence of drawings as well as starting to record the number of hours going in. The plan is to make this as consistent as possible and start coming out with pages of what I'll be doing to improve these pen and ink illustrations. As always, have a great day.
