An small Interview with Angie McMonigal

Who and from where are you?

I'm a Chicago, United States - based architecture photographer but grew up in a small town in rural Wisconsin.

How you got into this?

Photography started as a hobby about 16 years ago and has slowly evolved into a greater passion.

What is your driving force?

Photography is about seeing what often gets overlooked in our everyday environments and when I'm photographing alone it can feel a bit meditative and calming.

What kind of work you do and why?

I approach the urban environment with the spirit of someone who grew up surrounded by nature, finding moments of meditative calm in terrain that is always transforming. Focusing more frequently on bold architectural details rather than sweeping cityscapes, my photographs celebrate those unexpectedly iconic elements hiding in plain sight.

  1. Hello your post is very helpfull, thanks for sharing. When you go about finding a wedding photographer, you should obviously look for an individual who has had experience in the fashion industry. Your photographer should ideally have had experience shooting for fashion magazines, a clothing designer, or another area in the fashion and beauty industry. As with any photographer, you must ensure that your Photographers in Lahore has his or her own equipment and studio to develop or process your photos.

  7. I recently came across Angie McMonigal's stunning architecture photography and was blown away. As a lover of both architecture and photography, her work truly speaks to me. Her attention to detail and composition is impeccable, resulting in breathtaking images that capture the essence of each building she photographs.

What I love most about Angie's work is her ability to transform seemingly ordinary buildings into works of art. Through her lens, every angle and every curve is highlighted, allowing us to appreciate the beauty in structures that we may have otherwise overlooked.

Another aspect that sets Angie's photography apart is her use of monochrome. By stripping away color, she allows us to focus solely on the shapes, textures, and lines of each building, resulting in a minimalist yet impactful aesthetic.

Overall, Angie McMonigal's architecture photography is truly inspiring and I cannot wait to see what she captures next.
